It takes more than just the author to bring a story to life. These are some of the people who’ve helped me get this far. I’m grateful for each of you!
Sasmining (Sasmizu) is simply put: AH-Mazing. My agent told me she understood my vision for this series from the artwork. Well, that’s all you, Sas, aka my OFFICIAL marketing artist. Thanks, you’ve been irreplaceable from Day 1! (See Concept Art Page for Links) Alyssa Roat was the original agent I aimed for back at the start of this wild dream (late 2018). I pitched to her (mid 2019) at a Writer’s Conference in LA and half a year later, she gave me the YES I needed! She’s since retired from agenting though SO back to PitchWars for now! Before I had a clue what the world and faces of BWOB would look like, I went to Ghais to figure it out. He is master of taking your most basic fantasy ideas and patiently flushing it out. And look at that Cover Concept! (Link in Concept Art Page) Before there was one word on a page, there was my wife over an outline. Chelsea, I’m giving you 5 kisses everytime you read this. I hope this book gets published just so I can put YOUR name in the acknowledgments. Thanks for being Spheire’s first fan. The picture you see here is the first I ever saw of Lukie’s work. Rarely does a person see something so alive on a screen; I had to have the same done for my own world. Thanks Lukie, your ability to breathe life onto a canvas is truly breathtaking. IG:@lukie_art Ask any writer and they’ll tell you how much of an island the writing process can be. I’m not exempt from this and during a time drowning in “No’s”, Andria pulled me out with a heaven sent “Yes”. She’s a DREAM writing partner who’s currently scribbling away on her own amazing projects. Frankly, I can’t wait to support them all. Maria was there when I pitched to my first agent. Maria was there when I birthed the idea for my Youtube channel. And you KNOW Maria was there for brainstorming sessions over Boba. Basically, the lady is TOTAL boss material. Oh, and she’s working to blow you away with her very own WIP, coming soon . Better look out 😉 Not everyone is blessed with supportive families, especially when it comes to artistic pursuit. Thankfully, I don’t have that problem. My sister continues to devour my work–and she’s no slouch in letting me know when it needs work lol. Thanks, Ayana. You’re exactly what a brother needs. If there’s ever advice I could give: don’t undervalue old friendships. Charlotte was a deep-seeded connection from WAAAAAAY back in high school, but when I reached out for betas, she jumped regardless of the time passed. Thanks Charlotte, here’s to your journey from heartfelt friend to amazing mom and SO much more to come.
